“I believe curiosity and compassion are our greatest gifts for healing.”
Meet Katie
I believe curiosity and compassion are our greatest gifts for healing. I value insight and try to hold sacred space for my clients as they explore and move towards wholeness. I utilize my supportive role as a counselor to help my clients discover the unique set of resources within themselves. I recognize the importance of collaboration and creativity in the counseling process and allow my clients to set the pace of their sessions.
Katie’s Training
I was the Director of a group practice before I decided to venture out on my own. I bring over eight years of counseling experience to my work with clients. I use an integrative, holistic approach to healing and growth. I have specialized training in IFS and EMDR, which allows me to engage in deeper levels of healing with my clients.
I am trained in play therapy. In my work with children, I use the language of play to enter into the child’s world and facilitate awareness, connection and healing. I am also trained in the Gottman method for couples. Before becoming a counselor, I worked as a behavioral therapist with children who have special needs.
